It depends on what you are selling. This is like asking how many licks does it take to get the center of a tootsie pop.

Why would what it is matter? $200k is a lot for any product

Because it really does matter. I sold classroom tech to schools and we had 200k deals turn around within a week or two.

But if you are selling something else that you have to really get into and trial and whatnot, then it can take longer.

no demo's. we don't offer a product or tool, we're a team of former tier 1&2 auditors which basically helps differentiate us from the co's who offer tools/products

The above comments are all correct because I can sell you a boat for 200k in 5 minutes but software changes can take a year or more.

In your case, based on the minimal info, I would estimate at least a couple of months to get through an evaluation + legal/contracting

Tooootally depends on the prodcuct and industry/vertical.

In my world, $200k will take 9-12 months FOR SURE. ive seen others do it in like 3.

Depends on the product and the prospect. Public moves slow, some private move slow others move fast.

Also how the deal came about - your outreach, an inbound, RFP. So many variables.

Are you asking the process, like what are they steps or time it takes?

Lots of variables effect the sales cycle

I would say it really depends, a net new with no prior relationship, a pretty good process will be around 8 months.

But depends if its an inbound, rfp, or cold call set.

It seldom depends on the ACV, and more on the persona you're selling to, the size of the company (the bigger the size, the longer approval processes) and even the implementation impact (meaning - what departments would be impacted with this change).

So.

Who's your ICP? Some will be quicker than others. Once you're in with public companies, it can go pretty quickly, but the first one is a bear.

Are you trying to see if your company average is meeting expectations?
