Average time working?

Obviously productivity is super important especially in sales, but how much do you work in an average day? Some countries like the Netherlands and Sweden work MAYBE 7.5 hours a day - even if we are efficient that entire time, would we be better off working more?

8 hours. But WFH allows me to also put in "work" on Warzone

Haha, that´s why we work result-oriented. Bring in good numbers --> we don´t care how you schedule your day.

This is how I wish I had it, but I am required in the office for 9 hours a day 3 days a week...the days at home are the best

Yeah it's all about how the month/quarter is going.  Bring in those results, and no reason to talk about your schedule.  I do think it's important for me to have a routine, as well as making sure I change the "office" setting every now and again to keep me sane.

I think breaks are super important. When I was remote I would play a round of FIFA or PUBG every 3 hours or so. Now that we're in the office (I work in Manhattan) I'll be sure to take an hour break in Bryant Park.

Anyone who says they are productive all hours of work is full of it lol. Some study was done that shows on average we are productive for 12-14 hours/week. Otherwise we are in some capacity distracted.

Seems about right. My estimation is 20h/week

Agreed. Might be confirmation bias, but there are two studies I like to point to around productivity:

1. "... managers could not tell the difference between employees who actually worked 80 hours/week and those who just pretended to
- https://hbr.org/2015/04/why-some-men-pretend-to-work-80-hour-weeks

2. Can't find the article (I think HBR again), but essentially you CAN work 40+ hours in a week for multiple weeks and be more productive. However, if you do that for more than 6 straight weeks, your productivity falls so drastically it wipes out those gains. You would have been more productive only working 40 the entire time.

Officially we have seven hour days, my productive hours are probably five to six.

I find it impossible to be working "hard" for 7-8 hours. Maybe 4-5 hours of dedicated work a day (client meetings) with a handful of hours of admin/cadence work.

So we're (according to a study) only "working hard" for 12-14 hours a week. Might be why Finland's PM, Sanna Marin, wanted to reduce the work week to 6 hours/day 4 days/week.

4-5 hours of being productive if I'm being honest.

Somewhere there was a study that said the average worker is only productive for 12-14 hours/week.  I just think it's funny how in the States we have such an obsession with having our butts in a chair. (I wOrK 80 hOuR wEeKs)

With WFH, I typically aim for 5 hours of full-on productivity, but work days are theoretically 8 hours long.

If you are finishing all of your weekly tasks and meeting quota, there is no logical reason why you should work longer hours.

My personal advice is time yourself and take breaks. I typically do 45 mins of full focus with 10 min breaks in between, it might work for you too.

7-8 hours daily in office but I would include 1-2 hours after work as Linked in is hard to avoid somedays!

12-14 (with some breaks included) but this also includes my full time sales role as well as my business.

7 to 8 hrs is pretty fair. I mean, I think we can all do a bit more but my line is drawn once work time starts slashing away from drawing time. Mental wellness is number 1.
