I deleted FB long ago for this very reason. Started suggesting people I was in a training with when we had no connections, no messages. Only commonality was that we were in the same place for the same reason.
Once had a prospect that was very attractive, putting out intense vibes during two in-person meetings, but I kept it profesh because $150k was on the line.
A few weeks after we closed the deal she found me on IG. Added me and I added her back. Nothing crazy on the feed, just normal early 30s single girl posts and stories.
A few months go by and the whole vibe shifts. She left the company and her IG became an ad platform, if you know what I mean. This was 2019โฆand OF was kinda newโฆbut she was an early adopter.
My director of franchise operations became director of tight 50-something khaki operations overnight.
