Back to Face to Face sales calls - Things I missed

This week I had my first in person sales calls since March of 2020. An unsuspecting thing I realized I had missed was wearing shoes and nice pants to sales calls.


Anyone else back in person with face to face meetings? What are some of the simple luxuries you had been taking for granted?


An obvious one is how prospects just tell you so much more over coffee than over zoom and you don't really have to ask directly for business, they give it.

I honestly love wearing a suit. Idk why, I feel like Don Draper or JB when I walk in to a client meeting all cleaned up to close some business. Definitely beats sitting in PJs and a hoodie on Zoom IMO.

But what is miss most is client lunches. In part because I get a free meal on the company, but mainly because it is SO much easier to build a relationship with a client face to face outside of the office.

We have been doing face to face meetings since May of 2020. A huge reason why the company has grown so much over the last year. Honestly proud to work for a company that decided to not buy into the fear and keep pushing forward.

Hey thatโ€™s awesome! My company never said we couldnโ€™t do them but our prospects were banned from their offices. We have always tried to meet when possible but a lot of people were not comfortable/wanting to get dressed. What part of the country are you in?

How many times will you call a prospect after they don't answer the first time? At what frequency? I typically don't make a lot of repeat calls, just call with volume consistently and try to catch folks at the right time...
