barney2021 closed Construction Company for $18.4k to the HR department

This deal was great to work with and only took 3 weeks. We were neck and neck with our strongest competitor. They even dropped their pants to undercut us.


I did some subtle hints in to our competitor pain points all throughout the process and looked like it did the job as signed with me a day later and didn't have to get into a pricing war.


They also asked for a reference and managed to deflect away easily

Let me get out the hose because you are on fire. Good job showing your expertise with competitor knowledge. May I ask how you phrased it in a nice way? Cause here in Denmark/UK it's usually frowned upon to be taking jabs at the comp. However if you phrase it subtly like you mentioned it doesn't hurt. Ex.: "the consolidation process is even automatically handled here, and as to my knowledge you can't get that elsewhere. Then it will a "left handed" solution and requires manual work which can lead to errors and then your financial data isn't exactly REAL TIME as you stated you wanted."

They told me from the start they were looking into this competitor so I was saying the points that we do well and where they don't and really drilled into those areas on how positive they are. We also provide trial accounts and have great reviews online so I was saying make sure you do your due diligence with all suppliers by checking their trial account and reviews online. They obviously didn't find anything :)
