“Battle Buddy” War Room Friend System?

I'm pretty new to this community and maybe only hop on it a few times a week. So sorry, not sorry, if something like this was made before or suggested.
We're all salespeople, and all about building relationships, or something. Thoughts on a "battle buddy" friend system? Now, I want to be clear, this would NOT be a traditional influencer thing with the goal to hit a quadrillion followers and say stuff like "be kind lol" and get a million likes. Here's my proposal:
Once again, I repeat, this IS NOT a follower system. See below:
The amount of "battle buddies" you have, is limited to 10, and can only be viewed by you. You can't see other's buddies and amount they have. (Take that LinkedIn)
To add a buddy, BOTH need to have commented on each other's posts sometime in the past. One sends a "buddy request", other accepts or declines. (Once you're buddies you could send messages or something idk)
You'll have a notification whenever one of your buddies posts.
Thoughts on this?

I voted it sucks mainly because I don't understand it. Btw, they are working on a DM feature so until then keep posting and feel free to tag anyone. We are here to help. ❤🦊

Second. I don’t get the core concept here.

My vision was the ability to add friends, but it’s more anonymous in terms of you can only your friend list. (I.e., it’s not a “follower count” like Instagram) my hope is that this feature would allow people to build relationships and see each other’s posts without it becoming a “race” to see who could get to a million followers or something. Had no idea about the upcoming DM feature, so that sounds great!

Inappropriate.

Bravado is already working on a follow feature where you can follow people you think create helpful content.

DMs will be independent from that.

Cool! My only concern If people can see how many followers people have. If yes, I sense that people may be more concerned with getting their numbers up than engaging content.

Well I wouldn’t follow anyone who doesn’t have engaging content, so I think it still drives positive behavior

I think if you explain it better you could get better responses. It seems to be unclear for most.

Got it. My idea was a friend feature where you can have a feed to see each other’s posts. It’s also anonymous in the sense that only you can see your own friend list and there isn’t a “follower count.” I explained why I’m not necessarily a fan of a follower count in a previous comment.

I hit needs improvement. "Buddies" come from killing it with good replies. I'm new too, and the killers like Meech, PBC, Coups, Fox, Fuzzie all seem to just put in the work with good thoughtful posts, responses, and the odd shitpost.

I’ve been enjoying a certain quiet period this week and seeing new people on the leaderboards. It’s been refreshing.

Ive been thinking this too. Some of the main hitters have been MIA this week and its been interesting to see whats put out instead.

What is it supposed to achieve? A big part of the war room is remaining anonymous.

I was hoping this could achieve a way for people to stay updated on what their “favorite” contributors have been posting. I do agree that anonymity is important though!

Sorry, not sure I got the idea as many said. In my experience "buddy" systems are usually used to help new hires learn to walk the ropes, so maybe I'm looking at it wrong? I voted "needs improvement" but again, coming from the fact I wasn't clear on your idea.

Agree with most here as I don't quite see the value prop/use, especially given the WR's roadmap.

It’ll just end up being a circle jerk for the cool kids who get 20+ upvotes on one word replies. It’s a great idea, just the wrong place for it.

How great would a War Room for strictly HR people be?
