Gotta be honest, incentives are a great way to get involved. Its the primary motivator but as I go through the posts, you do find some interesting nuggets.

Here’s the deal: No one’s motive for posting is 100% devoid of earning commission.

From a personal standpoint, I think this platform is something special but positioned to potentially get huge and as an ‘early adopter’, I’m hoping it pays diviends to care about posted content beyond the short term commish gain.

Once you’re able to ‘follow’ users and the platform supports mentoring, I hope people are compelled to check out my post history based on a comment they liked or a thread I started and that it motivates me to up my game in sales, create better content and connect with people in the profession that I wouldn’t of had the opportunity to otherwise.

I’ll be the first to admit, there was a short period where i was really straddling that line and it was largely because i really wanted to be in the top 3 for the first leaderboard.

Now that it’s over, I don’t feel the need to compete for every subsequent contest and, as a result, I try to scrutinize my own posts a little more... if I find myself wanting to comment just to agree with someone, I often probe myself to include why I agree and expand on the original point...

I’m glad people are starting to use the downvoting more to keep things a little tighter.

I have a dream... and that dream is to stop reading posts about people asking ‘Where is the WR app?’ + Best sales books list. 🙃

What kind of content would you want to see? I think it would be nice to sort the feeds by topics so you can only read about what interests you. There's been a healthy amount of people trying to get better at prospecting/cold calling so that's what I like focusing on mainly.

Not really. I guess it's a small perk, but I dont know if I'll ever contribute enough to gain anything of real value from that perspective anyways.

For me I like to get a pulse on sales, see what's working in other industries and share my extensive sales experience with newcomers. Plus, have a little fun without bullshit linkedin stories or everything being political.

I'm starting to think of the war room as a way to build out my presence/discussion over time, and i'm using Gary Vee's 1.80 method for it.

I'll spend around 10 minutes before work everyday checking in on threads, putting in my 2 cents here and there, and over time i'll become a better member of the community. It's nice to see the number go up too, but I feel that it's helping me become more comfortable with curating, posting and participating in discussion.

Well, the top three earners last week got itunes gift cards, which haven't been valuable since 2014 so I don't think commenting on posts during my workday to get on the leaderboard is worth my time.

Personal opinion : it is more about personal growth, professional clarity in systems and thought process and get coached as you go type of a platform
