Behavioral Economic Theory

Not all classes in college are equal. The class I have undoubtably taken the most away from and use in this profession was my behavioral economics class. Think the book "Freakanomics" but more in depth.

As I look at my War Room commission, it got me wondering. Why doesn't everyone "up" / comment on as many things as possible, in hopes others would do the same. Now obviously that defeats the whole point of the War Room, as we all want relevant and interesting information to be at the top of the feed. I also understand it goes against the capitalistic nature that not all, but many sales professionals have. However, on the flip side of that by increasing the amount of commission given / received it makes a peloton, rolex, or 1:1 time with corporate that much more attainable. Luckily "markets" even War Room if you want to consider it a marketplace are efficient. So if everyone was to post the exact same thread and then upvote everyone else's thread, hence breaking the war-room we would all be left with a pile of commission, but also an unhappy corporate bro and probably nothing to spend it on.

So yes, I did theoretically answer my own question, but, I would love to hear other's thoughts / Ideas on "breaking" the War Room, in hopes to benefit yourself with a new shiny time piece or round trip tix to hawaii.

This is all hypothetical of course. Corporate Bro please dont kick me out or ban me for these revolutionary ideas!!

I think you answered the question yourself...if we all started trying to game the system by mass posting/upvoting everything, the commission would be done away with swiftly. I think we'd all rather have a small piece of the pie than no pie at all.

Also, even though I love getting rewarded for posting, if I logged on here and saw a bunch of garbage, I truly wouldn't bother. I genuinely enjoy posting and reading posts here, a gift card or piece of swag would quickly lose it's appeal if this place was annoying/boring to look at.

Oh no, I just upvoted your commentโ€ฆ..๐Ÿ˜‚

I agree with what you say above and I think itโ€™s all working fine how it is.ย

itโ€™s better to have high quality content that gets a lot of engagement and upvotes than it all becoming meaningless.ย

id love to get more commission, sure, but if WR is to stick around, then itโ€™s in a good place IMO.ย

If that happens prices of the merch will be inflated as well. Like printing money does to the price of consumables.ย

You did ultimately answer your own question and along with that human nature factors in big time. Interesting thought sequence though. It reminded me of socialism in a way.
