Find the best rep and copy what they do. When you feel more comfortable with the tech start to put your own spin on things, but until then there's no shame in aping #1. 

Focus on quick wins from existing customers as opposed to trying to impress everyone by bagging an elephant. It is better to get some $$$ on the board early and let existing customers explain to you why they bought and love your product.
