Best cold email openers

This has probably already been done, but I need help!

I am creating cold outreach sequences for a client of mine and having some writer's block on good email openers.

Is there anything you have tried that really worked/seemed to get a good amount of engagement?

Any and all cold email advice is welcome.

I’ve aggregated the best templates from the WR so far here: <removed post>

But, I don’t have a section specific to the opening hooks yet. Some of them do have good openers, but curious what some of the newer members come up with.

I am interested in this topic. I have struggled with a well-balanced cold opener.

I look forward to the discussions.

I saw on LinkedIn that you moved to a new position, congrats.

I bet you could use [product] now. is your business planning to grab this new opportunity? If I were you, I would do…

Are you having difficulties with the churn rate?

From my experience, the thing that can help is… Did you know that the latest research shows that x% of customers from this demographic segment would buy…

You could open with a question. Maybe about their business. Or a current industry trend. Or something personal about them-promotion, job change, etc.

Opening with a question and making sure it is personalized are very good go-tos

I like the subject line of "Appointment" and when appropriate I'll add a date "Appointment: July 21, 2021" I have pretty good luck with it, because it tricks the receiver into thinking they have an appointment and it's a reminder. Important to note I have never gotten negative feedback but my email is usually a 2-3 sentence ask for the meeting.

Though, I'm always asking for an *in person* meeting with the caveat that I'm willing to go virtual if that's their preference, so I think this plays better with the ask being an actual "appointment".

Lately got an email with the subjectline 'Croissants'. I did open and read the email (which was about this great new leadgenerarion tool that would make my selling live easier) 🙃 Although, creative thinking, that subject line, I did not answer though.

-name of the prospect in the subject line.
- keeping it short and concise
-one hyperlink tops (if you must)

Be specific about the person you are reaching out to and add some form of relevance about them. Also keep the email short so they are more likely to actually read it. Always then follow up either by phone or with another email.
