Iโ€™d be pretty direct, confirm ย they see value in whatever youโ€™re selling then ask why they need to talk to the โ€œmarketing personโ€ when theyโ€™re the decision maker.ย

I used to sell to business owners and pulled this move every time they tried to pull that card on me. Sorry bob, youโ€™re 21yr old employee that updates Instagram doesnโ€™t have a say in this.ย

LOVE it. I usually take the sarcastic approach and then pivot but of course it gets me nowhere every damn time.ย

Whatโ€™s funny is Iโ€™m so successful because Iโ€™m so direct and upfront but this objection always hindered me.ย

You totally just simplified this scenario and increased my odds on closing these types of deals tremendously.ย

WOW. Thank you.ย

Bingo. "If you see value in it, and you know it'll make you money, why ask someone else? All you'll do in the meantime is miss out on revenue you could be generating, just to ask someone who will do as you say."

Yup. I get business owners saying they need to "talk to their employees to make sure they're ok with the change." This is a BUSINESS decision and your money on the line, Bob.ย

How do you all handle a situation where a prospect has a contract approved and is ready for signature, but one of their family members just passed away? Want to be extremely sensitive to the situation...feel there's never a "right" time to reach out and never want to be salesy...
