What is the purpose of this post? Is there a joke here I'm missing, or are we just intentionally trying to ruin the War Room and turn it into another place filled with shitty content?
With the amount of valuable content I've provided, I don't think I'm intentionally trying to ruin the WR. The only thing that's ruining the WR is allowing unvetted members to flood the site with shitty content. I'm simply mocking them.
I would love your suggestions on how to "vet" members and what determines what is "shitty" content.
And yes, you've provided a ton of value historically to the war room. But posts like this doesn't make me feel great tbh

This post technically has more engagement than all of the legit posts today. I think there are multiple underlying issues here. I post serious threads because I want to benefit people. But, if I simply wanted engagement, honestly this is the route to go at the moment.

We're also sick of posts like this. This is a sarcastic post to point out that we're tired of it too. If you're taking the sarcasm as hostile, sure, it's a bit hostile but we're also as fed up as you are.
I believe they call this a microscope post. Something that draws your attention to the greater problem by shoving it under a microscope. Now that you're aware of the bacteria on the slide, we can take steps as a community to clean it up.

What an awesome conversation to see taking place between WR Officers - this is exactly we had in mind when launching the War Room: a place filled with shittier content than even LNKD.
It's unfortunate you chose to comment and chide Officers over a silly joke post instead of participate in one of the many thoughtful, insightful, and helpful posts any one of us has posted over the last few months. I know you're busy which makes your appearances rare - why not use them to promote the posts you like to see?ย

I think the question needs to be: why do the silly and joke posts rise to the top? In my eyes, there's no shortage of good content posted on a weekly basis...but I do notice that serious topics get way less replies than shitposts/off topic posts. Either this community isn't attracting the right kind of user, or people prefer a lighthearted tone vs serious discussion. I'm not sure, but there's obviously some kind of disconnect going on.
For anyone who wants to delete their account, I suggest they put some effort in and participate. If you want to see posts on topic x, post some! People can't just lurk or give low effort replies to everything and expect others to bring the value...like I said in another thread, the grand majority of quality posts and replies for that matter come from the same 10-20 people day after day. As one of those people, I can tell you we do get tired of taking the time to post thoughtful content but instead see threads about video games or repeat topics posted simply to get hundreds of poll responses garner more attention. So yeah, we end up shitposting sometimes - because at least it's funny and brings us some value in the time we spend here, which is entertainment.ย

Contrary. A sarcastic thread with a sarcastic response to reflect how it would be addressed. I am a big proponent of helping out new members and have provided resources and advice on multiple occasions and have yet to mock or patronize any new members.
My friend, I'd love your help on how we can do a better job to onboard new members. We're clearly failing here - what are your thoughts?
I think the disconnect comes from the difference in advertising and the actual product as well as the community/etiquette that's already been established. I'm not saying either of these things are positive or negative, but I think those are the two driving factors. The WR is advertised as an ultimate networking channel, filled with the best of the best salespeople, collaborating to become the best versions of themselves possible. However, once you get here, you find that's just a portion of it. This product has more so become a place where salespeople hang out. Sure, most things are business/sales-related, but I think there are a fair amount of members who were expecting something different.ย
The FAQ explains what is acceptable/unacceptable, etc., and provides some WR tips/threads, however, it doesn't encapsulate the experience. There have been a lot of good threads that people have posted for new members, with my personal favorite below, but regardless, I think a lot of people are put off by the intensity of the established members and community.

Current company uses HubSpot.... Not a huge fan. Low-key, best CRM out there is a company called Pipedrive. Used it at my last company - best CRM I've used.... Ever?ย

HubSpot is a fantastic platform, you just have to learn how to use it...otherwise, you lose it.
