Best CRM For Sales?

I expect Salesforce to be the main CRM but I keep hoping there is something more intuitive.

What CRM do you like the most?

I just have a major problem with any piece of tech that requires full time staff and constant need of implementors and integrators just to keep the thing going.

Its like that beater car that you keep fixing every couple of months just to keep it running but your probably better off just investing in a new car...but you have already invested so much in the beater that you just want to keep going and maybe the problems will stop eventually...but they don't. Thats how I think of Salesforce

SF fan here. With the exception of in house admins. They can suck it.

Same here, I literally am searching for a better free crm since our admins turned off all the functions. I think they turn it all off, then watch us through our camera's like they are watching the Truman show, or Saw III.

I've used SFDC in two different companies and I thought it sucked. Not sure if it was the way it was implemented or I was just a noob (first two jobs in sales).

We use Hubspot. If you're a smaller team, HS is pretty much out-of-the-box and you're ready to go. So, it depends.

I had used Saleslogix years ago and then they got acquired by InforCRM which was slightly better. We moved to HubSpot back in 2017 when they first launched their Sales CRM. Their products are super easy to use and anyone can set it up. It feels absolutely ridiculous to me when I hear people talking about having a SF Developer in-house to do things that took me 30 seconds in HubSpot. My current company uses SF and it's at least the newer Lightning version but it's still garbage in my mind. I was in complete shock when I first used SF given the market share they have and how bad/behind the times their product is. SF was innovative 15 years ago but then decided to stay there and stop evolving.

THIS ⬆️ I would love to sit down and understand just why SFDC is the top pick for so many teams.

What are you hoping for in the way of more of an intuitive platform?

Mainly something that does not require so much setup. I either had to do it myself while at smaller orgs or there was a team of people at bigger orgs.

Either way, lightning was a tough transition.

I know that SFDC has no competition when it comes to configurations but that also has its pitfalls

Yeah I don’t disagree that it’s not an easy process to transition.

I feel sf has been the most suitable for my work though so it’s been worth it

Im a fan of Hubspot. Nothing is as endlessly flexible as SFDC..but like you said that comes at a cost. In my last role I setup HubSpot and had it implemented for my team within a week during a trial that the sales rep gave me. You can probably get yourself most of the way setup on your own just using their free version and then upgrade to their pro or enterprise tiers. They also dont charge for every license and you dont pay extra for what I consider to be really great support.

I won't even take a job unless they have salesforce in place. It's like starting at a company with no clients. No can do.

I’d love to experience something other than SFDC, but that’s what all of my past and current companies have used. I’ve seen it made insanely complicated. Sometimes I wonder if less is more.

I used zoho for a few years after a long stint on Salesforce. I am happy to be back on SF.

My org built their own and it's horrible, but on the CS side we use Planhat which is mediocre but gets the job done

My org uses HubSpot and like what was said in the thread so much easier to use. Also love their productivity tools which I know you don't get with SFDC, used SFDC in my last company and just to prospect and use lists was such a headache

I picked SFDC I hate all CRM because it does little for you other than force a bunch of extra work to do

I have used SFDC at every stop until my most recent one where I was introduced to MFST Dynamics. I was warned about it from pst colleagues and I was even at a bar recently where I was chatting up a girl who actually spoke at Dreamforce and is a very accomplished developer. She referred to Dynamics as “peasant’s software.” I don’t disagree. But I do enjoy the lack of intuitiveness as it creates less work. SFDC can be configured to death that you could never get out of it.
