I personally like to keep things short, sweet & to the point and have found that very effective when talking to C-Suites as they're usually pretty busy.

Not sounding "salesy" is so cliche but it makes a big difference. Prospects, especially with SaaS it seems, can tell when you actually understand their pain and goals.ย

you have to remember that in that conversation, you are the expert in your product that they know nothing about, and you have to relate your product to the pain you uncovered

Lastly you just have to be relevant. The minute you stop being relevant is when they lose interest which comes with doing your homework

Actually give a shit and be curious. If you are really curious the 2nd and 3rd level questions will come naturally. Remember, itโ€™s all about them and the problems you can help them solve. Approach it like they donโ€™t give 2 shits about you. It will help keep you focused and them drawn in.

I use my "Radio Announcer" voice and make sure to smile while I am speaking. Of course this makes a difference when you are face to face / on a video call, and it really helps on phone calls too, give it a shot!
