Best Headset for Sales?

Whats up savages - I've been in management for awhile but am heading back to an IC role (thanks for all the great advice on that transition btw).

I've been rocking AirPod Pros for the last year in management, but thinking they might not be a good fit for a full day on the phones. My company gives out Jabra Evolve but people complain about them constantly.

Anybody have any favorites they'd recommend?

I use the Bose 700 noise cancelling ones when I’m traveling / taking calls in crowded places and AirPods at home or in the office

I have used jabra evolve 65 for ages and never had any issues.

I've a set of jabra elite 65, the in-ear ones, for music/podcasts whenever and they're super troublesome at times, especially in hot weather. Definitely would not rely on them for work.

I have the Jabras and they are good, but you end up with big poofy things on your head.  Not great if you're on camera and don't want to look like a geek.

I use them for off-camera meetings.  The sound is great and I can focus very well with them.  If I must be on camera, I use the iPods or just the laptop speaker, if the other occupants of the house are out and won't be bothered by my meeting noise.

Jabra if your company will pay for it, get the nice one. Doesn't pick up a lot of background noise and great audio quality for the person on the other end of the call (great mic).

Get the Jabras, sell them, and go buy something from Bose.

JABRA EVOLVE2 85, look big, but they’re fantastic for blocking ambiant noise and the sound is SUPER CRISP, have only received compliments.
Put it this way; if mine broke, I would expedite ship a new pair on Amazon within 30 seconds.

I am a MASSIVE fan of my Jabra Evolve 75.

kinda expensive but I will never not use them.

blocks out surrounding noise so I can hear everything and it also isolates your voice so your prospect only hears you and not your kids running around in the background.

For real how good is the noise cancelling? I have my own office, but I also have four little ones whose school and daycare seem to think that my hobby is having them not attend. I would love something that blocks out the Paw Patrol on the other floor. We all know that Sky is going to save the day - I do not need to ambiently wonder how long until Ryder stops fuckin' around and just lets her deal with it so he can scratch some bellies and give some treats.

hahaha I feel this!

its hard to really say how good it is but I have two kids 2 and 5, and my wife stays home with them. I have an office on the first floor and while im on a call wearing the Jabra I am not distracted at all and can barely hear anything.

I also have ADHD so if im not getting distracted, i feel like that should be another confidence boost haha.

if im not on calls I do switch to my BOSE because they are more comfortable for long periods of time.

I feel ya on the ADHD. I forgot my meds in the cluster that was yesterday morning and my day was all sorts of wrong.
I use Skull Candy Crusher Wireless headphones when I’m not on calls. Also have purpose built my space to channel my inability to focus. It’s helpful most of the time, but my headset for calls is some $20 number they gave me when I started five years ago and it has exactly no noise cancellation.

oh nice! Ok so were speaking the same language here haha! yeah I have used all the cheap crappy ones companies give you and these Jabra ones blow them away

see if your company will let you expense them, let them know about your ADHD.

Plantronics is the one we use, and it has been really good. legit have had music blasting and sat next to the speaker and the client can't hear it. I tested out with a coworker and a friend lol

Jabra Evolve series is great, just be mindful of getting the one paired with your VC tool and download all the latest updates from Jabra direct app

I’ve got jabra evolve 75 and love them - super long Bluetooth range, great battery life, noise cancelling mic and head phones. The only real con is that they’re on ear which can get a little uncomfortable after wearing for a really long time.

Airpod Pros - they charge super fast in between breaks, and you can't beat the comfort (imo).

Any comment on here that is recommending headphones without a noise cancelling mic is wack. Noise cancelling headphones normally don't have a noise cancelling mic, which is what really matters. Plantronics and Jabra are the leaders on noise cancelling mics.

Fam - all y'all gotta get to know this one. Aftershokz OPENCOMM  https://shokz.com/products/opencomm
By far the best one I've used. I've used all manner of earbud before this but the great thing about this headset is it's open-ear. Yeah, you read that right. It vibrates the bones of your face to allow you to hear while leaving your ear-holes gloriously free of clogs. No more inner-ear pimples, sore ear, yappers canal, or ear drum fungus. No pain, no recovery time, blah blah. I shit you not this headset makes me WANT to cold-call....it's funny, but it's true.

This headset actively cancels any noise from your surroundings like your kids running around, your spouse crop-dusting you as they walk by, or whatever. My wife loves the crop-dust move while I'm on with a high-dollar prospect. I swear her body senses an important meeting and makes her have to fart...Anyway - back to the headset. It's flippin' rad. Not too expensive either and the most comfortable one I've ever worn. I've used nearly every model of plantronics, I have a pair of air pods pro that I used until I got this last Christmas. both of which would give me ear canal issues. IMO Jabra headsets are awful for any long period of time.

Sometimes I forget I'm wearing this one and then someone calls and it scares the shit out of me. You can probably tell I'm in love.
