Best incentive you get or used to get from an employer

Currently, matching up to 6% of income for retirement is the best incentive.

Close call with a former employer who offered free food (they owned the restaurant across the street) everyday, with free beers starting at 3pm on Friday. And when I say food, I mean a full kitchen, fresh fruit, unlimited drinks from water to anything on alcoholic.

3% retirement matching, 80% top-up maternity leave for the first 3 months (in Canada we have 12-18 months), paid paternity leave for 6 weeks, free lunches, snacks, drinks, wine, and beer on tap.ย

But my favorite "incentive" was that they also offered $2000 in mental health coverage in addition to what we get through our insurance. Most people don't like to pay out of pocket for this and insurance covers what, 2 - 3 sessions?ย

Really great way to take care of your employees and I'm sure it also yields are a great return for them having happy and mentally well employees.ย

Back when I was selling cars, I could take a car out for the weekend if I hit my numbers. Other dealerships had car allowances etc.
