Best (not nose) Candy Ever???

video cover

Sup War Room Savages,

Everyday is a great day, but today is especially better - as I *think* I’m having my first real “cheat day”.

I recently made the choice to get healthier physically - and have been making embarrassingly small steps towards improvement in this area. However, the thing I have been most proud of myself for doing since making this choice is - not picking up a candy bar and a coke to lay down and snack on… every. single. night.

Point is, today I’m rewarding myself and eating a frozen Mr. Goodbar & a Mexican Coke - which is obviously the greatest combination of processed candy indulgence one can aspire to enjoy.

I quickly found myself explaining to a friend of mine that I was, in fact, smack dab in the middle of enjoying the greatest candy bar ever made when he (someone I thought I knew) said Sour Skittles were the best candy ever.

So, I turn to you… oh wise & enlightened Savages… to settle this (simple) debate:

Can we all agree that Mr. Goodbar is the best? Or can anyone here bolster a case for any 2nd tier competition?

Let’s hear it!!!…

What’s the best candy ever?

I hear what you’re saying, and I respect your opinion. It’s just that it’s wrong.

Nah - just kidding… come on. Who doesn’t love Sour Patch Kids? They’re great.

But, answer honestly… you ever had a frozen Goodbar and paired it with a pure cane sugar “Mexican Coke”?… if not, shit’ll change your life.

Well id say Haribo but TBH the ones you get in a plastic container from any fancy grocery/food store are the best and I have no actual idea what brand that is because they’re sold in bulk so 🤷‍♀️

Beeehhh. Excuse me. I’ll need a judges ruling on this:

… “Peach Rings or nothing.”

Let’s see, first of all the answer should have been delivered in the form of an “question”. Sorry - 5 pt deduction right there.

No, seriously… are you asserting that this candy (peach rings), despite brand, is superior in all forms to a Mr. Goodbar?!?!

-

Hahahha. That’s crazy… *You’re* crazy… but, I like you.

Oh yeah, we are simpatico on the Mexican Coke.

It’s the bees knees. The cat’s pajamas. *The fox’s sox*. A real dandy. A humdinger. A beaut… The tops.

But… Fun Dip is where you plant your flag when it comes to candy?!?!

Be careful. I heard one time that if you mix Fun Dip & Coke it could blow up in your tummy.

Be smart, be cool &, most of all, be safe. Pick up a Goodbar, for goodness sake.

Reece’s Pieces go hard. Not gonna lie.

That’s likely the closest competition to a Goodbar that’s been suggested yet - but definitely a distant 2nd.

“Closest competition” in the sense that like I’d come in 2nd if I raced Usain Bolt.

A monster treat, and respectable choice.

But, even within the Reese’s family this - I’m afraid - is the inferior offering.

If one were to plant their flag on a Reese’s product… how’s it not gonna be the Pieces???

That said - how do you like your (Reese’s) cups:

A. The classic bad boy - wax paper inside plastic.
B. The kind you give your kids in Easter eggs - wax paper & that annoying tin wrapper

OR

C. Mini & unwrapped - built for comfort, right out of the bag

With all the offerings from Rees-is the sticks seem to be an odd place for one to plant their flag. But, to each his own - even though this answer is clearly wrong.

As far as pronunciation goes - I defer to my old pal E.T. (the guy who put Reese’s Pieces on the map), and he was clearly saying “REESEEEEEES PIECEEEEEEES”.

But now that the aliens are back, maybe you could ask him and get some clarification.

Lol. Here’s to hoping the planet doesn’t explode before you have another set of sticks, my friend.

And, unfortunately, we can fairly simply logically deduce that Twix is the incorrect answer by pointing to the fact that it’s George Costanza’s favorite candy bar - which, of course, means… you don’t want to plant your flag here.

(Holy shit.) Uhh. What’s up, Sahil?!

I’ve been staunchly defending Mr. Goodbar and giving people *the business* for disagreeing (being wrong), but, if someone as wise (THE CEO THAT BROUGHT US THE GREATEST RESOURCE SALES HAS EVER HAD) as yourself, plants their flag on Twix definitively as the best candy - I won’t argue… and may potentially reconsider my position.

Nah. I’m just kidding. I’m a Goodbar man for life.

But, I appreciate you playing along. And a sincere thanks for what you’ve given us here with the War Room. It’s truly awesome & I’m super grateful to be here.

Without question it's sour jolly ranchers.  They come in a what's known as a 'fruit n sour' packs, and are amazing. They're becoming more and more rare, such that I had to buy them off amazon vs locally.  They may be endangered, but if we work together as a team we can up the demand and production.
Austin

O&G O.G. - Sales Mgr. - NCSA
Dayum. That is one specific pick, and one hell of a pitch - towards exclusivity.

The launch right into how they’re different from normal jolly ranchers was a good move. (No hard sell, no one word answer). Explaining what makes them unique, and how to get them - further subliminally cementing of exclusivity in the mind of the prospect.

What makes this the best response I’ve gotten so far though, is the verbiage about how “they could be endangered and *if we work together* we could begin them back to market”.

You’ve created a CAUSE now. And that’s a brilliant pitch.

I’m getting a pack off Amazon today sir, and you win… my appreciation. (Sorry, I didn’t have time to buy prizes before I stared this game).

Best,

Hmm. Crackle is a strong choice. I won’t lie to you.

But the balance of the chocolate to crisp ratio is too often out of balance.

Though this item can be found in the same verity pack as a Goodbar, does not make it it’s equal.

Thank you for playing, but your answer is incorrect.

Thank you for the kudos SheWolf. Steps are certainly small at the moment.

And while I can surely substantiate that Reese’s Pieces is certainly a top 5 contender for the crown, and a solid and delicious choice, it is unfortunately - on the pure basis of versatility - obviously not quite as strong as a Goodbar. (You don’t freeze your Reese’s Pieces do you?… I think not. Case and point.)

The fact that you have an American girlfriend leads me to believe you have good taste. So you stated strong.

But planting your flag on a Nerd Rope… eh… just not a good look.

This test is graded on a curve though, and the fact that you’re from the UK - and have had nothing but terrible candy to choose from your whole life - will bring the grade up a bit.

Best I can do for you, at the moment. But do enjoy your American girlfriend.
