Alright savages, let's hear those fond memories of those sales floors bants being brought to life....I'll get us underway:

It was the middle of Australian summer, and with a solid 150+ on the sales floor, the air con simply couldn't keep up with the energy in the room. The bloke sitting opposite me was 6 ft 3 with a beard as long as his closed lost list and he was obsessed with his new little desk fan (more so than any person should be about an appliance). On April Fools day, I came in early to pump out some work before heading to an on-site meeting when he sat down, turned on the fan, and one of the boys had laced it with flour from the kitchen downstairs 🤣An appropriate rage fit soon followed as he tried to vacuum powder out of his keyboard...

We sent some “piping hot inbound requests” with names like Mike Hunt and shit to another rep on the floor, all had our CRO’s phone number. He figured it out after the third one.

Lmaooo I pranked my old sales manager by giving him a msg that Dixie Normous called about one of our ads and gave him the number to a local sex shop.

Also pranked my co worker by telling her to call Harry Lyons with the number to the local zoo.

I have the sense of humor of a 15 year old boy.

One time a young and cocky new SDR challenged me to play a friendly game of Russian roulette. I told him there were only 2 bullets in the cylinder (there were 4 😂). He spun it, put the gun to his temple and screamed "COFFEE IS FOR CLOSERSSSS" right before his brains splattered all over the whiteboard. That was it for young Trevor but thanks to him, most of our SDR's aren't foolish enough to challenge me to a game of RR anymore 😂

Our CMO was the office prankster...until I arrived.

I put out a craigslist ad needing "Chewbacca Roars" to cast in a radio advertisement.

Instructing all participants to call into the number, give us their best chewbacca roar as soon as someone answered or leave a voicemail, and then hang up. Best roar would receive $100 and be notified at contests in.

For about 3 straight days and 5-8 calls a day, he was answering the phone and getting voicemails of people roaring. It was fucking hysterical.

He only figured it out when he finally answered a call and asked the guy where he got his number.

My old VP of sales would be on the prowl looking for new reps who left their computer open and walked away from their desk. He would slack himself some obscenities and the new reps always freaked out thinking they were about to lose their job.

We covered a coworker's desk and entire cubicle including the walls with post it notes. It was a painstaking process but totally worth the effort.

We used to change people's monitors, put them upsidedown, disconect their mouses or exchange them... but then someone thought it be a good idea to take it a step further and got a mouse that would electrecute someone if they left clicked... long story shot, our manager fell of his chair and the pranks stopped.
