Send a short, simple email. Seriously, you can just email people and they will respond if you put enough work into it. Check out this one that went to the CEO of snapchat.

You could connect via LinkedIn.ย

For phone try calling a different department, say oops I was supposed to be transferred to (insert CEO name) and see if they will put you through.ย ย

Yeah fair, Linkedin is quite good for it. But, have you had experience with say a middle sized company in which the CEO isn't very active on Linkedin, opens and clicks on emails but several gatekeepers always just say 'Not at his desk' 'Leave a message' It doesn't happen all the time, mainly with bigger companies, just wondered if there was any tips to convince a notorious gatekeeper (s) without lying?ย

Does he have a direct assistant? Tell them you need to schedule a time on their calendar.

Or just send an Outlook calendar meeting invite to his email. He will either accept or decline.ย

That's a good idea, guess there isn't any harm in doing so! Thanks for that!ย

Write your email with what you want to say. Keep trimming it down over and over until you get to 50 words. Then send it. CEOs read so much every day you don't stand a chance if they even have to swipe once on their phone.
