Best ways to leverage your client's competitors?

As part of my research in prospecting an Enterprise Customer, I'm always gathering intel on their competitors including:

(a) who are their biggest competitors?

(b) what are their strategic initiatives for the year?

(c) which product segments are they focusing?

(d) which departments and roles are they hiring for?

(e) what acquisitions have they made?

There can be a lot of great nuggets that you find, but I always find it a bit difficult to leverage this information in client discussions. What are some best practices that you use to leverage this information?

Very interested to hear about the personas that care most about this, potential discovery questions/ trap setting questions you might use, information you might include in a deck with your customer, etc. Thanks!

How do you go up against competitors who are always lowballing pricing?

AE’s - here’s a very client-centred way to gather information about ‘WHEN’ a decision needs to be made. Doing it this way will help you shorten sales cycles and build trust. Keep in mind - not every question I ask in this example is a perfect fit for every buyer, but should give you a good place
