Best tactics to get a cold prospect to respond?

I recently just started a new sales role and it's a little different than what I have done in the past. Account targets are enterprise level - Fortune 1000. I made this move after years in management because I had no work/life balance and realized what I really love to do is sell. Post-covid prospecting is really different than when I was doing it in the past. What have you found to be most effective at getting a cold prospect to respond? LinkedIn? Calls? Cold Emails?

Personally, I like using LinkedIn and leading by providing something of value - maybe an ebook, or invitation to a webinar or 1:1 strategy session with one of our SMEs before the ask, but I'm having inconsistent results.

Would love to hear what's working for you!

I say use all three. LinkedIn, Cold Email, Calls. The more you can get your brand in front of the prospect the better.ย

I agree with this. The more doors you keep open, more the recall value

VIDEO! on Linkedin, with Vidyard, on YT. For the really hard to reach prospects, I use to hand deliver a gift to their office with a QR code printed on a handwritten card that took them to a Youtube video I made that was 2 minute personalized intro and pitch.

Email is going to have to be your bread and butter for cold outreach. While calls and LinkedIn are super important to have in your process, with the work environment right now, it's best to spend more time on getting emails out to your target prospects, as well as spending more time to figure out what message works and what does not. Since covid, email has been the main driver behind outbound success not only for me, but for everyone on my sales team at least. Curious to hear of other strategies currently when it comes to LinkedIn however, it's a great medium, I just can't seem to get my messaging right.ย

We've had success with an in-thread reply email that just says, "Any thoughts?"

2x ROI on your original (probably) personalized email and it's short & sweet.
