Best time of day to call and email?

I've read a lot of articles about the best days/times to cold call and email, many of which are backed by data, but curious what people in this community have found most successful.

Have heard so-called "experts" say things like "never cold call on Monday mornings" or "don't email on Friday afternoons" but I've had success doing both of those things.

This seems to be one of the recurring million dollar questions and with every post about it, it just seems increasingly clear that there is no universal best time of day to call or email.

Depends entirely on your ICP.ย

Absolutely depends on your ICP, but if you are targeting decision makers then Monday morning normally isnโ€™t a good as they tend to have meetings etc at that time.ย

I like to make my cold calls from Tuesday through Thursday. Mostly focus on the high impact times from 9:00 am to 11:00am

For Small-Business, Tuesdays and Thursdays used to have the best turnaround.ย  It's said that you're more likely to get someone on the phone first thing in the morning - typically, business owners show up early, before the gatekeeper.ย ย

During Covid, it's not been easy to wrap my head around the best days.ย  I use multiple avenues to prospect, but my calling time has been a most successful cadence during lunch hours, 11 am - 1:30 pm.ย ย

Depending on your company, I'm sure senior representatives could lay out a pretty decent roadmap; That is, if you're looking for this answer personally.ย  Either way, any new sales reps should always find 2 or 3 senior top reps and let them set your strategy up.ย  They know the plays and what it takes to be successful.ย ย

You can always change it up when you're at their level... But then again, would you?

I find that between 11 and 12 works the best for me. People are now awake and have done most of their busy work and are getting ready for lunch break. I also found that Tuesday's and Friday's are the most popular times for answers on the phone.ย
