Best time of day to catch prospects on the phones???

For decision makers (Directors & up) typically have success in the early AM, but curious when fellow soldiers are hitting hot streaks.

The best time to call is now.

Harvard Business Review, however, did a study and their data showed 8am-9am and 4pm-5pm.

I too think that early in the day is best, but I have also had luck in the last hour of their day. However, a couple times people got upset that I called them at the end of their day, so it is a gamble.

@Opalyeah morning was great in the office days. With WFH later in the afternoon/evening you can get them more winding down their day.

For the folks I am calling on (Risk, Safety, EH&S), early morning is usually the busiest time of their day. I have found the most success with calling in the late morning or early afternoon

There was a study I saw posted on LinkedIn that showed the best times to call someone and actually have them answer are between 4-6pm (in their respected time zone)....The study was just talking about catching someone live, but I would be curious to see calls between 4-6pm that actually lead to opportunity creation.  For example, maybe its easier to catch someone at 5 but the conversation stops there, as opposed to catching someone at 1045am which leads to an actual meeting.

I've heard reps swear by the "15 mins before every top of the hour" rule in hopes of catching people between meetings.

Just spent 30 minutes on a friday afternoon calling and had 5 conversations out of my 20 calls. I would say it was a success for me~

Statistically speaking, Thursday is 1% better on response rates than any other day of the week. 1%!! The moral of the story, pick up the phone and call.

I think this totally depends on tons of factors and there’s no blanket “best time” just put a dial in and then get info to help you understand the best time

I call on the tops and the middle of the hours, those times are the highest propensity to catch prospect not in a meeting....(so many meetings!!!)

Traditionally first thing in the morning or at the end of the day.

However, with COVID and most people still working remotely that conventional wisdom has gone out the window a bit.

Depends on your demographic.

if I’m calling truckers, the earlier the better. Think 6-7am.

contractors? 10am, typically wed thru Friday. Other CEOs? Thurs/Friday afternoon

I've found morning (8am-9am) to be the best time to call and catch DMs at their desk.

Ironically enough, I've found emailing after dinner the best time to get an email reply.

I like to call 5 to 10 minutes before the top of any hour and say I'm glad I could catch you just for a minute I have a meeting coming up...
