Best verticals to work for?

Hi Bravado team, 

I'm new to this app so my apologies if this has been posted a million times. Currently im trying to move out of my AM role in the hardware space to SaaS or software sales. Working mainly in the client space I've realized how many factors can ruin your quota because of supply chain issues.

I know I can leverage CompGauge and Repvue to find good companies. But what verticals are recommended? I've heard good things about Cybersecurity and Cloud computing.

Really depends on your personality. Personally, I grew up in law firms and around lawyers so I'm what I would consider successful in that vertical. I know the lingo, I connect easier with lawyers.

It's like asking what sport you should play. Depends on who's asking.

That’s a really good point. I’m definitely a tech guy at heart so that’s what I’ll focus on.

I would say the "hot" verticals are cybersecurity, AI/ML, "digital" areas ect. 

I am in life sciences.....and its a GREAT time to be in it haha

Cybersecurity is hot. Healthcare would also be another vertical I recommend.

I have buddy in the life sciences space who is doing really good. Any companies in the Cybersecurity space I should look at? I only know about CrowdStrike and Palo Alto

That really depends on you.  Are you currently in hardware like servers and switches, or hammers and nails (🤣)  

Its understandable to want to get out due to supply chain, although personally I see that clearing up by EoY, mostly.

Regarding industry - what do you like?  What intrigues you?  What can you leverage from your current position into a new one?  

And who do you want to sell to?  B2B, B2C, B2G, etc...?

Hardware as in laptops, desktops, monitors, servers, switches, and storage

Hard to say if supply issues clear up. They said that for the fall of 2021, and spring of 2022.

B2B is the focus, I’ve worked both with the government through the channel and in enterprise sales. I really don’t like working with the govt because of you limited ability to sell. I don’t have as much influence as I would like.

I’m a tech person at heart I’ve been building PCs since I was a kid so I’ve fascinated by tech. I don’t really have an interest moving into Fintech or Healthcare. Real estate does seem interesting but I don’t know much about it
