Hawaii is always good for temperate weather, but is a long flight for just a weekend - and I live on the West Coast. If you choose it, you should consider more than a weekend.

Yeah we'd love to do Hawaii for another time that we can take at least a whole week. For this one looking for no more than a 4ish hour flight since I think were just taking off Friday-Monday

From the midwest, Florida sounds like the best and quickest getaway to me.

Key West, Hawaii or Miami would be good spots. Sedona is far enough up in the mountains that you could deal with some cooler weather there.

What's the vibe you and your SO want? Are you looking for a coconut drink on the beach and not moving or are you looking to be out-and-about going to fancy restaurants/concerts/outdoor activities?

I know its not really helpful but were open to anything really. Would love somewhere that allows us to be active for at least one day. But lounging on a beach wouldn't be the worst thing in the world either. We dont really need "nightlife" in the clubby sense but some fun unique bars and restaurants could be fun.

Main priority is get out of our shitty midwest weather for a few days and not look at any work emails

San Diego is always nice. Best tacos around, in Old Town.

I like Ft Lauderdale more than Miami for more of a casual, beachy vibe. Also really like Puerto Rico, Condado is a nice place to spend a couple days and it's pretty easy to get there.

New Zealand!!!! Its not in the US or close enough for a long weekend. We still would welcome you to our small island though, Australia is a larger/warmer option with deadly wildlife.

So will let you pick your preference on living and slightly colder, or potentially dead and warmer.

New Orleans rules, but it can be a little chilly during the winter.

But if you must stay in the US, Vegas baby!

Miami is always great this time of year, but that also means that everyone else that is looking for a decent priced vacation might also be there.

Do you want it to be a relaxing, small feel beach town? Or are you looking to party? Miami and Key West will both be party places.
