Best way to turn a no into a yes?

For me no never actually means no, I've always believed timing is key, so if i receive a no, I always revisit when new items come in.


Recently I have reversed my process, and instead of presenting to buyers something I ask them what they would be see as an ideal product and create accordingly- this has given me a much better success rate.


That being said I am curious how other people handle this.
