Hey folks!
Most of the people here or on the Slack group are mostly selling products. Anyone into selling custom software/product development services?
What's been working for you so far? It's a constant uphill battle since it is a commodity at the end of the day, and there's so much competition. There's like a 100 companies in a 10 km radius of our office selling the same services. Plus we end up competing on rates (which is always a race to the bottom).
For those of you who sell services -
- How are you conducting outreach?
- How are you setting yourselves apart?
- How are you deflecting questions on hourly rates? If you're in the US, how do you justify billing $100-$150/hour, when companies in Brazil, Europe, Asia are charging a fraction of that amount?
- How do you scale your lead gen/sales process?
I've been relying on outbound, and it has worked out ok so far, and I'm sure I can do better. Looking for suggestions, and learning from ya'll on this.
