Best ways to unplug from work

Hi all, working from home, feel like I spend an hour everyday just blurring from work back to personal life and it feels really unproductive. I really value decompressing and I think it does help your work performance.

So I'm curious, what's your favorite way to unplug from work?

go for a walk out side/treadmill, mow the lawn, or just do something active for 15 minutes is a good one for me to transition to family life

Literally walk away from the laptop, and start doing some mindless chore at home. That way, my brain starts to reset, and stuff gets done!

Some of you know that I'm a huge proponent of getting out into nature - go for a walk, a hike. Preferably with one or many dogs.

Going for a run or playing tennis for me, gets me outside and away from the phone.

During the day I am a big fan of going for a walk to break it up or read a chapter of a book

I make a point to unplug my laptop from the dock and put it away. Itโ€™s like a boundary. I then do some sorts of stupid dad project. Lawn care, cook etc. helps the transition and unwind.

I go for like 2-3 walks a day just to clear my head and get off my ass. Hit the gym at least 3 times a week for a lift.

Family life after hours is great, and then I usually have an hour or two to myself at night to melt my brain with some sort of media (youtube, streaming, video games, etc.)
