Biggest deal you ever sold?

Let's start a nice round of bragging: what's the biggest deal you sold? Can be anything from new business or renewal to add-on and any number, just tell us what happened!

Mine was a 152K pilot renewal off a 11K pilot. They went from 8 people in their team using our solution to their entire org using it. Felt amazing when the contract came in. I work in Tech sales btw.

Let's see those sick deals everyone closed!!

I met the buyer one night in Vegas, took them out to downtown Vegas and didnโ€™t tell them who I was or what company I worked for. Got there business card, shopped the store and identified a niche market where my product would fit in at 200 flag ship warehouses. Understanding there import and price needs (they typically mark up 14% and need the cheapest price in 25 miles), I altered the materials and product slightly, called the buyer, recapped and she agreed to check it out. I think I played it pretty it off pretty good. Still my best story to dateย

Great story for sure! Love how you took them to Vegas. Are you still in the same industry?

Yup, still in the same industry, love what I do, just now Iโ€™m doing it for myself and not other brands.ย

to clarify, met them in Vegas, we were both there on business, I recognized the buyer immediately hahah just didnโ€™t sell them right awayย

That's my dream tbh - to create my own (passive) income instead of doing all these hours for someone else..

Hahaha ok makes sense. Stick to the first story where people (like me) will assume you took them to Vegas - every sales person's dream to take clients there to 'close business' haha

Hahah maybe I will stick to that story now, definitely you should do it, the hardest thing to do is make that jump. My biggest problem right now is that I am starting to second guess my instincts.

Why and which instincts are you second guessing?

Itโ€™s different, when I was doing it for other people it wasnโ€™t so personal to me, Iโ€™m second guessing my market trend instincts. But I just need to disassociate it being so personal this timeย

Yeah it's your own business right now. Keep thinking about your company goals and why you started this business in the first place. Sometimes you lose that bigger picture and it helps to go back to the start, your business plan etc.

My biggest deal isn't anything fancy in terms of techniques.
I just kept being persistent for now 1 year and 9 months to close with the biggest food delivery mobile application in the region.ย

If you look at my emails and follow ups i sent 18 emails until I got a 1st response. Following up weekly. Then when I had a number i reached out over WhatsApp insisting on our value proposition.

Then came the technical and the bidding. (Which i was competing against billion dollar worth comps) in a total. In total the company we signed deals that include 3 countries in the region and luckily the three biggest ones each worth 100kUSD in revenue per year. It ain't much but it's a big deal in our sms industry and for the region.

For a new customer, $105k for a third of the org's branches.ย

For a renewal, I've got 3 that are re-signing at over $125k each after only being ~$30k deals up to now.ย

$13m 1 year deal to one of the largest companies in the world. 30 person team delivering a programmatic service as an extension of the company. Had to convince our CRO that we could deliver, begged him on the day to sign, and we crushed the delivery.ย
