Bilingual Software Sales - English & French [Advice Needed]

Been a hot minute since I’ve made regular posts but I’m looking for some advice / resource recommendations…

Short version: I’ve never been as strong selling in French vs selling in English. Maybe this is primarily a Canada-specific challenge [Ontario-Quebec] but I lack certain technical vocabulary and the occasional turn of phrase to express myself as effectively as I can in English… Does anyone have any advice or resources to help overcome this challenge?

More details: I used to work for a company where I was the most fluently bilingual employee in the team (French is my first language) and expressed a desire for sales coaching in French so I could refine my pitch for the Quebec market and it seems like no one really offers this outside of teaching their own sales training system, which I have no interest in…

I've yet to encounter the French sales community lol even people I know sell in Mtl sell in English even though they speak fluent French. However, I do know that pavilion/Revenue Collective has a Montreal chapter, so I guess that you could find some people to guide you on this in there.

Look at community colleges and universities in your area! you may be able to take a business French class. French is my second language, but I know the course I took really helped when prospecting into French speaking accounts!

How about finding french reps in the same industry and asking them for their recorded demos, emails and content and taking notes?

Sales Savages, what is our profession? Trauma!
Definitely recommend checking out a business-level course - there are usually a few institutions floating around with good accreditation like  Instituto Cervantes for Spanish.

Check out Alliance Française @CadenceCombat though that will be more french french than Quebec.

No joke, start watching children tv shows in Quebecois. As your vocab grows increase the ages. Listen to podcasts etc.

Don't say Tabernak or Colis.

I see books and courses being offered... They teach grammer and spelling but what you're looking for is conversational Quebecois. Honestly start watching tv. If your french is half decent, Good Cop, Bon Cop is great.

Search Netflix for Canadian content etc.
