Blow it up
lol lots to unpack in this gem:

1. "Head of Marketing" putting down salespeople for not personally solving IT/product issues.

2. Then goes on to talk about how much it costs to run the sales team vs. revenue gen....um...pot/kettle?

3. Mentions salespeople's lack of loyalty, yet she has 18 separate job experiences and no single employer lasting 3 years...

I feel sorry for anyone stuck working for her. She looks like someone who has never bought her own groceries and would get confused/outraged at the self-checkout.

So brutal, so tone deaf.

She needs to extricate her head from her rear end.

Working for a direct competitor- Oh the humanity!

Sheesh. Corporations have no loyalty to workers and that’s reflected back. She’s a naive, entitled joke of a trust funder.

Deep into the comments, she shows her true motivations for the post.

She's not based in the US nor is her company and she is salty that candidates based in the US are expecting pay and perks common to companies that are based in the US.

Rather than looking inward and realizing that what her company is offering isn't really all that great, she is externalizing and suggesting that candidates are just entitled children with no accountability.

Pretty common for a "marketing leader" to shirk accountability by suggesting others aren't holding themselves accountable.

This was my conclusion as well after reading the comments.

I also find the loyalty piece so fucking rich coming from someone that hasnt spend more than 2.5 years in any role.

Bruh.. She doesn't even live in the states and thinks knowing your worth is akin to "no loyalty". No shit you're heading of marketing, you have no KPIs..

While she is a piece of shit - she's not totally wrong either.

When money gets tight under-performers get cut. Crush your numbers, build strong internal relationships, and go above and beyond, and you're a much harder person to lay off and will be much further down the list of potential people to cut if/when that time rolls around.

At work, you’re either adding value or extracting value — guess who gets cut first in a recession?

I don’t think this was specifically directed at salespeople.

Interesting perspective from someone who has had engagements with 9 different companies in 10 years... so I guess she speaks from experience!

I am always amazed at the "Frequent job switches in pursuit of the highest paycheck are normal"

How is doing something that best for you ever a bad thing.
