It’s nice if you have status but being in boarding group 3 guarantees a middle seat.

True, I have learned to set an alarm for exactly 24 hrs before my flight and get pretty good seats

Does Southwest have any other kind of perks that makes it worth it?  I feel like if you're traveling as much as many of us used to, why not try to get some comfort out of it?

Take away all pros and cons for Southwest or other airlines...I travel to FL all the time now and Southwest is usually half the price. For me, it’s the only option.

I prefer Delta, but it’s not feasible to where I have to travel today (2021-??)

CEO of my company says he'll take any rep on the private jet to help close any deal over $1M (pre covid of course).  Haven't gotten that chance yet

True, once you travel private, flying commercial (even first/business) sounds lame.

I’m kinda forced to fly them due to my territory but would definitely prefer Delta

Thats fair. I just had a really bad experience with AA last week as they strained my in Florida for 3 days after canceling my flight (even sent my checked bag to my destination after I requested it be taken off the grounded plane). Then up until today, were refusing to refund my ticket (I ended up flying united instead).

United or southwest are my preferred.

ALWAYS DELTA - American's service is weak and they expect me to use my own device for mindless programming. *depends on where you live.

Due to recent experiences I've had with American, I'm seriously considering switching to Delta, even though most of the places I fly to are American hubs

There's an art and a science to all of this stuff when you include hotel chains, credit cards, airlines, etc.  Airline is one thing, but finding the right combo and formula for the best perks is another!

American for me though.  A lot of that is driven by my sales territory and the hubs I fly into.

I picked Delta since they've been the "best" dealing with the pandemic, but it really depends if I'm flying into an American hub.

yeah the hubs make a big difference.  I fly in and out of Boston a lot so American it is for me.

For commercial, Emirates and Etihad are the best, although nothing beats flying private.

I used to work for a company with 2 private jets, so I was able to travel with the big kahunas when we had to do town halls. They also had a policy that if the flight time (direct) >8hrs we fly business.

I once had to get my GC to sign an agreement promising we wouldn't take any of the client's employees hostage before I could submit an RFP... it was for a large, multinational corporation that operated in some wartorn countries, so apparently, that was necessary.
