Boston Recs?

Headed to Boston in a couple weeks for a work thing and husband is flying in to meet me after my Summit is over to spend an extra couple of days there. We've both always wanted to visit but haven't had the chance yet- any recommendations on where to see/do/eat? Red Sox game is already booked!

i grew up outside of Boston and the things my friends/all tourists loved to do:
- Sox Game (good job getting that booked)
-Fenway tour. This is wicked fun and i had never done it until my out of town friends wanted to, and it was really sweet to see everything. and if you go when there is a game that day its even better.

- Also if your around fenway go to Bleacher Bar and Cask n Flagon. notable boston spots when there are Sox games.
- North End. its the "little italy" of boston (but do NOT refer to it as that) and is a wicked fun place to walk around.
- Mikes Pastry in the north end is a place many ppl like to go.
- i love walking through faneuil hall and then down the along the water just a fun vibe.
- some classic

Mikes Pastry is a MUST for cannoli. Visit Harvard if you'd like to see a classic university (and there's a Mikes near the T stop).

The light rail is called the T for "MBTA".

If you are into history, or even if you are only sort of into history, c'mon, this is BOSTON. Check out the Freedom Trail. Walk the Freedom Trail and: Have a drink at the oldest pub in the US. Visit John Hancock's house and marvel at how many people lived in this tiny home! Go stand where the revolutionaries did as they decided to challenge King George. Visit the shops at Fanueil Hall. Best hot dog stand in the universe is outside the Old North Church. Step onto the USS Constitution. Along the way, you'll see quite a bit of Boston, old and new. Don't get run over by a Duck Boat.

The Boston Aquarium is also world class.
Legal Seafoods is an institution.
You already said Fenway, great choice.

I'll let you know if I think of more.

oh yes the aquarium is legit and so is the children's museum haha!

we would have to go walk the freedom trail for a field trip in middle school....we all hated it then haha.

My family almost killed me when I made them do it too - though they talk about it fondly now. There is a water feature about midway through where you can stop and get your feet (and the rest of you) wet if you want, and on a warm summer day, that was nice.

But I strongly recommend it for adults, and I'm a walker who happens to like history, so for me, it was great.

Ditto what @TennisandSalessaid. Grew up in Vermont and spent a ton of time in Boston and never did the Fenway Tour until I had left and came back for a visit and was very much worth it.

Also it is more of a kids thing but the aquarium and natural science museum is really cool to go and see.

On the drinks side, keep an eye out for Trillium beers, also might be worth a visit to Tree House depending on interests. I like a hot pot restaurant called Shabu Zen. Very good.
