Bourbon Drinkers-- What's your celebratory bottle?

I've been getting into the bourbon world lately, and have started to build up a little bit of a collection as I celebrate wins.. Close a good deal > treat myself to a nice bottle. Have a small win along the way (tech win, discovery booked with THE ideal prospect at a good account > treat myself to a glass of the good stuff I've amassed).

Now I'm brainstorming what my BIG WIN bottle is going to be... would love to get my hands on some Pappy, but its hard to rationalize that kind of secondary market.

To my fellow bourbon drinkers out there, what bottle would be top of your list if you were to close a say, 7 figure deal?

Gotta be really, really, really honest with you.

Is it delicious? Yes.
Would I buy myself a pour or a bottle on my own dime? No.

Absolutely overrated as hell. But you have heard of it so that's the sizzle. There is much better bourbon out there for less money but when you want to make an impression that's a bottle to do it.

I'm more of a single malt guy, but I like this idea. My default bourbon is usually Maker's Mark, but I'm guessing you're looking for something that's more special.

I have heard very good things about Pappy van Winkle though, if you do opt to go that route.

Not a bourbon drinker (big Gin guy) but this is a great idea. Donโ€™t close too many deals thoโ€ฆwouldnโ€™t be good for the liver!

Woodford is solid! I miss living in a state where you can buy liquor at Costco, their 1.75 Woodford was a steal!

You close a 7-figure deal and stand to make multiple 5 figure commission.

Carve off 1% of that commission ($50k = $500). These deals arenโ€™t going to happen for must of us too often so why not spurge a little.

You canโ€™t go wrong with Pappy.

Other solid buys would be Blantonโ€™s and Rabbit Hole Rye. Wonโ€™t completely break the bank, but a level up from your average bottle.

picked up a bottle of Blanton's last weekend at MSRP, saving it for the next win.

I've heard mixed reviews, but want to form my own opinion because so many bourbon lovers just hate on anything Buffalo Trace, so I'm sure they are overly critical of Blanton's for that reason

haven't had their rye, but I was gifted a bottle of their bourbon for Christmas. The Port finish is nice. I'll have to add the rye to my list, I'm actually out of rye at the moment so that needs to change

Not a huge bourbon-specific drinker but but Woodford or Elijah Craig have been my most recent. Heard good things about Eagle Rare from a bartender friend of mine also

Eagle Rare is good! Hard to find with the Buffalo Trace mania, I was lucky enough to pick some up a few months ago at an allocated drop. Very smooth and approachable, if you're looking to dip your toes into drinking bourbon neat, its a good one to start with

In Canada our selection ainโ€™t great, for my โ€œeverydayโ€ bottle itโ€™s Basil Haydenโ€™s.

Not Bourbon, but still whiskey.

Celebratory bottle is MacAllan 18Y Sherry Cask.
