How do you navigate the emotional rollercoaster of sales? I’m what some would consider “successful” from an attainment perspective but get wayyyy too down and out when I’m not killing it. Starts to interfere with personal life etc etc.

A common issue I've been running into when "Jokingly" hinting at the fact that I'll be asking for a significant raise this year is my leadership saying "You control how much you make, you're in sales" 

How would you approach a manager with this mindset when asking for a raise? I am making a 35,000 CAD base salary in a SaaS Account Executive role. 

I've been told by others on my team/in our sales org that they make 50+ one CSM even reporting they make 65K. Now they've been at this longer than me, but I am carrying the same target, and putting in lots of effort on the content creation side, as well as training SDRs because I came from that side of the fence. 

I've also been headhunted a couple of times and the hiring managers have promised someone with my experience (3 years SaaS, 5 years total sales) a 50K+ base. 

How do I approach this situation without ruffling feathers, and if they don't give me this raise, should I go to another organization?

How does your performance compare to your colleagues? If you're at 70% of quota and the $50k gal is at 100%, you don't have a very strong argument.

yeah man, money isnt everything but I would say you for sure could get more somewhere else. 

If they do not come to you with a raise in this market, id just leave and find a better more high paying role.

As a high-level employee being recruited for high-level roles, how do you get a tough player like the CEO to show their hand without asking the obvious (and often offensive) questions?

Along the poker route: how do you pick up on a buyer's "tells"? With zoom being the predominant selling venue we should all have the skills to know when we've struck a nerve.

I am currently building out an outbound team. Have been doing this for 6 months. These are the responsibilities I have

Interviewing 
Onboarding
Training
Holding 1:1s
Carrying a full quota

But I have not had a pay increase. They keep telling me that when I have enough members on the team we can talk

Well I was reached out to by a recruiter to start a new outbound team for another company. I'm going to hear what they have to offer, but this is my question. 

What should the proper compinsation be for both roles? I really enjoy my current company and besides the extra work with no pay increase its not that bad.

How can I leverage what the other company will be offering to get a higher wage at my current company without insulting the CEO. The last person that had this position and quite for a higher wage, the CEO said they were disloyal and I'm pretty sure if I mention I have been talking to other companies I will get fired.

Current OTE is $80,000

I have not hit my full quota for 3 months now, possible four because of other responsibilities and taking some time off in September.
