I know some don't and it creates enough touches to get through

Iโ€™m against including a break up email as part of a cadence.

No not as part if you don't get a reply you can write it up separately.

I don't write em. They'll be back once they figure out the product they chose was crap.

My break up email is "have you given up on this project?" If I don't get a reply, I make note to follow up and move on to something else.

Let's be real here, no answer is an answer. And I'm not so desperate that I need to beg and plead. I need to retain SOME of my pride lol...ย

I don't write breakup emails. I just wait for a few months then do another outreach

John Barrows has an interesting strategy that I have started to employ before I send a break up email - after you've sent 2-3 unanswered notes, change the subject line to "Did I lose you?" or "Are you still interested?", anything of that ilk -ย

Then delete your signature in this last note, and put nothing in it.ย  Yes , just a blank email.ย  ย  Now the prospect will clearly see in the collapsed emails below it how many emails they haven't responded to (because your recent note and signature aren't pushing them down) - great litmus test if theyre just busy and are unaware that you're feeling ghosted, or are actually ghosting.ย  I almost always get a response (good and bad).
