Burn the house down?

Sup Savages,

As I've mentioned tomorrow is my last day in my current role before I take a few weeks off and start something new. I find myself in a moral quandary and would love to understand how you all have handled in the past.

Do I say fuck it and burn everything down before I leave, or leave it better than I found it?

How have y'all left in the past?

I love you. Don't light your path home with the bridges you've burnt along the way.

Have fun, accomplish nothing, distract others, but be petty malicious. You're the only one leaving, don't harm others who are still trying to earn a check there.

If I worked in the office I would love to, whats the remote version of this?

Subscribing to a bunch of ridiculous shit with my work email so my boss has to deal with a blown up inbox and unsubscribing from everything?

Only issue is that only impacts a single person. id sign up a couple internal distribution lists.

or, create a handful of BS leads in your CRM with follow up dates in the next few months. Assign them to people randomly.

Ya the limited scope is the issue, Ill run with the distribution list method. Good call.

What exactly would you do?

The one time I quit I wasn't there long. I was an idiot and went from SDR at an okay company to AE at a shitty one after like 4 months. I asked my boss for 5 minutes and he definitely knew. He wasn't happy but took it well. I offered a 2 week notice but he said nah you can be done Friday, lol

When HR asked for feedback, I did tell the lady very politely that having daily 4 pm meetings where leadership just says "we need more revenue" every time isn't constructive. We know, guys

This post was entirely sarcastic knowing the creative minds in this group and how they would burn the house down upon departure.

In reality I'm just gonna sign off tomorrow for my last time, say my goodbyes and move on.

Well, depends if you like the people you will be leaving. My last role was at a company I disliked but with some people around me who I didn't want to fuck over.
So I left after neatly organizing my ops that the next person could take over. Besides that I sat around the last week doing nothing and preparing for my next role.

Ya I actually dont have much negative to say about where I am leaving aside from their embarrassingly low pay. I'm currently contributing to 2022 planning by reading the war room.

Whatever you do, don't come on here posting 3 posts per day about how much you hated your boss and wish you could change the way the CEO saw him.

No, it's fun but causes problems later. Think of it as the ramifications of stealing a FedEx truck. It might be a ton of fun but you're probably gonna have a lot of later pain to deal with.

Leaving everything on a good note is always going to be helpful. You never know if you need any help from them in the future. If you say Fuck it, you might have to hear Fuck off but you do what you think is best for you 😬
