The struggle is real on this.ย  For me, when I'm feeling "burned out" I a try to consume a combination of content that is both good for me (positive podcasts, blogs, ebooks)ย  and content that is BRAINLESS, funny movies - ridiculous TV shows. Etc.ย  I spend so much time "thinking/strategizing/stressing" that some times I need to clear everything from my brain.ย  ย I also do activities that I know require a ton of concentrtion to prevent myself from getting back into work thoughts.ย  Things like Chess and cooking.ย  ย This is the KEY struggle for me and my sellers, not just in COVID, but in general.ย

I appreciate the reply. Great point that burnout occurs everyday whether we are in a pandemic or not.ย

Since leaving the Bay Area, be able to join a gym has been amazing for me. That has always been my "therapy" and where I go to disconnect and focus on destroying some iron. Throughout the pandemic I had hoped to increase my book reading, but have definitely struggled with when it is time to shut the laptop which has added to the burnout.

This may sound counterproductive, but I take on a stretch project / goal (either in or outside of work) that lets me play to my strengths and passions. Accomplishing that goal gives me an adrenaline rush to get back on the horse and see things with the glass half full attitude.ย

I do my best work with a plan. Set up time to really commit to a plan for success that you feel confident in, not just for the sake of pleasing your manager in QBR.

I also lean on my mentors to help refocus my mindset. Sometimes a good pep talk is all you need!
