No marketing, mayo isn't an MQL
Promotion will depend on your numbers and how much you're liked internally. It isn't always the best performers that get promoted first.ย

Beyond that though, regardless of whether you're an AE or SDR, sales is going to knock you over and then kick you while you're down at times.ย

You need a reason to stay in the game.ย

AE isn't a promised land, its hard fucking work.ย

Yes! I'm ready for the challenge. Been working on running the appointments myself and then giving to someone in the sales team to send them a purposely, since I cannot build them yet. Got a deal already and have a few more pending.ย

Def feeling down though

Its totally who you know, not what you know. I moved up from SDR to AE way too fast and it was only because of the connections I made (I new no one in the company on day 1)

I use an app daily (free version) called Sanvello. You check in daily with your mood, notes, etc and it sends you weekly reports. There's also free resources and people to talk to at all times.

I also set breaks on my calendar throughout the day to force myself to move and stop staring at a screen.

I feel you. I'm feeling that way too, don't want to throw the towel just yet, but I've been going 100mph for the past two months and the company hasn't let up off the gas in terms of expectations. I'm doing well, just feeling unmotivated.

It rained this morning and I love the rain, instead of being able to go for a walk outside in the rain, I had to make calls. Kinda blows at times. It'll get better, friend. Take some time to get some rest, eat well, hit the gym and socialize.ย

As long as it makes sense value wise. How much do you like your company? How much will the raise be? Is it worth waiting for?ย

Dude I feel you and I think all have been through the same route.
First and foremost, you must have some anti-burnt out dose - get disconnected with work and do something you like.ย

Make a plan of what you want to do and if you want to stick to the same company along with a deadline. And then action it.

I was told by someone in the past that "don't love your company too much, they might not like you tomorrow"

How long have you been in the role? Have you shipped around? Sometimes the only way up is via another company.
