CadenceCombat's Reignite Tip

Disclaimer: You will need to source budget to do this.

Some people might classify this as a direct mail campaign or marketing initiative, etc...

Point is, this is one of the better ways I've successfully reignited discussions with prospects that have gone cold and sped up building relationships with engaged leads.

It's pretty simple - buy their love

  1. Reignite cold convo - I used to work for an enterprise software company where we would be allocated budget from marketing to list our prospects that met a certain criteria so we could send them a box of cookies in a company branded box and it worked pretty well to get in their good graces again and reignited conversations that had gone cold.
  2. Expedite relationship building - another great way to leverage some budget spend to warm prospects up quicker is to use Cameo. If you're not familiar with it, it's a site where you can pay professional athletes and b-grade celebrities to record a personalized message. I once had an on-site in Boston and noticed there was baseball paraphernalia decorating the entire office. You can imagine how thrilled my prospect was to receive a personalized message as a follow-up from a former Red Sox player.

Prospects are like banks: You have to make a deposit before you can make a withdrawal. In other words, you need to make an investment before you can extract value. Sometimes, the fastest way to earn a little good will is to purchase it.

Does your company allocate budget to Sales to warm up prospects?

Sendoso is great for this too. Send them things like a gift card for lunch as a "thank you ahead of time for taking my meeting"Β

Echoing E_Money here, Sendoso is great. I'll be sure to take a look into Cameo too! Seems like it can be a huge hit with the right person. Thanks for sharing.

All great advice but unfortunately i don't think my company can afford the 2nd option. Funny, we do get the option 1 with companies trying to do business with us.

Can you make a poll of this so I can see how many companies (people here) actually pay for option 1. I really need to put marketing under fire and maybe having an informal poll can help.

Fair point. Something like Cameo must be a little bit more of a grey area, no? @TrinityΒ
