They call me Daddy, Sales Daddy
I’m always a fan of calling first and asking if I’m directing my efforts at the right person. Save a lot of time that way.

Thanks! What time of day do you usually call, and what do you do if it is the right person? Tell them to expect an email from you?

If it’s the right person you need to have your 20 second opener ready to go. You send an email with the goal of getting the conversation, right? Well here’s your chance to have that conversation NOW. So don’t be a chump and offer them a way out via “sending them an email”.

my .02? Who you call or email is more important than how you do it with school districts. Lots of reps call in departments, or the super's office. Nope. Get to the board of education. Every public school district has this stuff posted online and school board meetings are public - most are on zoom now. You need to find a board member or two who can be the champion for what you're selling. Everything - EVERYTHING - gets decided by the BOE. Especially if you're selling something NEW rather than REPLACING something they have.

Not in school districts but I am a fan of calling, then leaving a voicemail "Saying no need to call me back, I can follow up via email" Then Subject Line: Just Called. This was something I heard on 30 min to Presidents Club.

This is a great approach.

call then email. calling allows you to get your side out as well as getting through some basic objections to get a meeting hook. email just gives them a way out right off the bat. delete is only 2 clicks away.

ALWAYS call IMO.

in my experience, ive set more meetings over the phone than email, and i can get more info on a call even if I dont book a meeting.

so ill always call and see if i get lucky and get a connect on the first touch.

Both. Send the email as a follow up with next steps.

Yep, a quick one-two. Even if you get voice mail, send an email after the call.

Call i reckon, calling you almost always walk away with more information than just a straight reply to an email.

In my company, email always gave good results so my cadence starts with an email followed but calling and emailing in 2 days.

You're gonna want to call first, brother. They are not reading your emails.

I like several emails first, mostly because I have to work up the energy to do calls.
