Mine is short and sweet. Call to action and short so I can pump them out. "Hey it's SolicitorGeneral with X. Please call me back at xxx-xxx-xxxx, thanks"
Gives it a hint of mystery if you don't tell them why you've called

Unless you live in a vacuum, people can look you up before they call, mystery is so hard to maintain in 2021ย

That works very well. Short and keep them guessing.ย

Simple and to the point! Hey its XX give me a call back XXXX... I only say my name and number...don't say my company, cause it leaves them wondering who is XX?? It a hook. I get A LOT of call backs...They do not know if you areย a telemarketer, or a friend, or someone who is interested in their service!ย

Often it's "give me a shout back or I'll call you in x days," or "I'll follow up with an email."

I don't reference a previous email, I let them know I will be following up my VM with an email and give them the subject line of said email.ย

When you send this follow-up email, is it a highly personalized follow-up, or moreso a generic one? I imagine if they are all personalized that would be fairly time consuming.

I do both. I'll try to send 10 or so personalized ones a day. But more often than not, ts generic. I make sure to mention the same (maybe different wording) value prop in my email that said on the VM.ย "Just you a voicemail. As I mentioned...." I like relevance over personalization, but personalization is never bad.ย

Call me back or send me an email letting me know when you're free and I'll give you a call.

I'll generally do both, "Hey there, I am following up on an email and I'd love to hear your thoughts, so give me a call back." Or I'll say "I have a couple questions for you, give me a call." Works pretty well and I usually get 2-3 call backs/day.ย

I always say what Solicitor says but add the line, "I also will follow up via email."

For everyone who has answered thus far, have you ever gotten blocked as a result of leaving a message? As someone knows that you are making a sales call, so they block your number on their direct line.

No one listens to voicemail. I generally say "Gonna save you the call back but sent you an email from X. Keen to hear back from you soon."
