Working in Florida they can fire you whenever for whatever. Otherwise, not sure why'd they fire you while ramping. Unless you're asking cause you are unmotivated and don't like the outlook of the job but also don't wanna get fired either. If you are asking, I'm assuming you're expecting it. If you're expecting it, I'm assuming you're slacking. If you're slacking, you deserve it. But I'm just assuming :)

Depends on where you're at.

I think in some states on the west - you have a 90 day probation period right?

If in month 3 on the phones you have serious concerns, by month 5/6 it won't be much better.

That’s not true, it took me 3 years to ramp, building relationships takes time, now I am what the kids are calling, “crushing it”

yes but labor laws do have built in probation periods that typically allow the companies to not have to start all the benefits on hire day to protect them from people just look for benifits

Yes, but you’ll be better off at your next gig anyway, find a good leader who believes in you, play that long game, keep following up, staying persistent, you will have success.

I think some "right to work" laws in certain states allow them to fire you whenever

Curious for what reason? Barring something egregious and totally warranted I'm wondering what could lead to such quick action.

Performance? Hard to evaluate in such a short time when someones just getting up to speed. Have they even put in place the correct training onboarding ect.

Not sure if this is happening to or if you're worried about it happening- share some more details about the situation and everyone can give a bit more of their 2cents.

Hope this is hypothetical!

Essentially i just got let go into my 7th week i dont think they liked the glassdoor review i left them on friday, the management has been horrible since day 1 and ive been interviewing since, that being said i booked a 40 million dollar meeting that was to be completed this week, and never really cared about activity because, i was ready to put in my two weeks since the first day

No “meeting” is a 40$ million meeting, prove it.

Depends what country/state you're in. As far as I know, in most places a company can fire you without cause within your probation period which is usually 90 days.

Generally yeah they can. Big reasons they would consider doing it would be 1. You did something illegal 2. You were caught lying or not showing up to work 3. would be if someone wrote you off for lack of effort or just a bad culture fit and if you loose the buy in from your leaders and management too early chances are you'll be on that chopping block.

Probation? Absolutely I've always had 3-6 months probation where you can be out at any point. Is it a European thing?

usually there needs to be a reason, but it really depends on location. some states you can get fired for just about anything.

That's what at-will employment means. And I'd imagine 99%+ of us are at-will employees.

100 percent! The first 90 days is probation it's the whole point. originally it was designed to protect companies from people looking to abuse employment benefits and insurances claims even signing bonuses. however, in the high churn world of SDRs it's used as a cleanup tool they over higher see who performs then cut the fat. its standard nugget mining
