Career Jumping

During the pandemic the job I loved was severly effected by covid so I jumped ship. I was at a new company for 6 months before I got an opportunity from an old manager and took a remote job. Due to covid it took me a while to realize that remote wasn't going to work out for me long term so I got a new job that I have been in for the last 3 months. With 3 sales jobs in the last 8 months- what is the best thing to do? I am not making enough money at this job and don't know if its long term sustainable. Just to note I was hitting quota at all jobs and this isn't a performance issue more of a satisfaction level and covid circumstances. I am worried I won't get interviews for having multiple jobs for a short term period.

I think employers are a lot more lax on previous job tenure from the last year or so. Lots of people were laid off because of COVID, couldn't work remotely as you mentioned, or had to change things up to accommodate childcare or a partner's career.ย

Including the job you were at for six months on the resume and explaining you left for a better opportunity is fine. If you were at the remote job longer than three months, include it and say you figured out that working remotely wasn't for you. If you were there less, I'd just leave it off the resume and explain the gap as time you spent looking for your current opportunity but are looking again as you don't see a long term future there.ย

Job hopping is a bs concern, guess what if this opportunity is as great as they are making it out to be to entice you to come then it shouldn't be a concern. Sometimes(most of the time) I hate people.
