Changing ROEs last minute

Hi - my company changed the Q1 ROEs last minute which makes me miss out on over 400K of closed business that I personally closed. Those accounts are moving to another AE, which is fine, but the ROEs clearly stated that any deals closed in Q1, would go to the AE who closed it. The company then changed the ROEs (without telling people) to say any business closed in Q1 would go to the AE taking over it. I am loosing over 400K in commission, about 1/3 of my 2021 quota and lost 3 of the 12 months for work. What can I do? Is this normal? I have never seen this before.

This makes me want to rage quit but I can't. lol

I think we all know the answer here... no that's not normal.

What can you do about it? Well, oftentimes these decisions are made by people who don't understand the deep-reaching ramifications of their decisions. Have you brought up your frustration in a clear and logical manner to your boss? Have they taken you seriously and/or done something about it?

Best case scenario, this is just an oversight by someone who didn't understand what they were doing. Worst case scenario, it was done maliciously to fuck over you specifically. I have a feeling it was somewhere in between the two, but you'll never know if you don't ask.

Never forget, your company can (and will) move on without you without batting an eye. Don't be afraid to do the same.

Thanks ! That is what I figured but thought I would check before I made any decisions. It now verifies what I knew about how the company is changing and is going in a direction that isn't for me long term. Thanks for your help!
