Clicking with Hiring Mgr but not with Recruiter? What’s wrong?

hey folks,
my current experience as I am navigating active job search is that the effort in reaching out to Hiring Manager to establish meaningful connect is working to secure first meeting BUT the observation is:
1.) I am quickly running out of my direct connects and network connections and it's getting harder (90% work to get 10% success)
2.) 0% success on same role when targeting recruiters for first meeting ( their internal recruiters / TA I mean)
3.) Not seeing any headhunters on the market active at the moment for these account mgmt role (I mean the professional recruiters/ agencies)

I must be doing something terribly wrong in activating the recuiter personas to work for me in building pipeline of my first meeting for job search.

Ask me questions please , roast me, give me tips and experience you might have ? how do you get recruiters to work for you?

(Role: Senior , Account Mgmt, Strategic Acconts , Partner Mgmt etc )

That's tough, and like tank & foxy I'm going to say we need more details.

That being said, generally I'd say that clicking with the HM is probably more important than doing so with the recruiter.

100% the HM in the decision maker here.

Recruiter is just a gate keeper.

if the DM likes you, they will ask about you.

Yes yes - I am applying through respective portals but that’s like a black hole.. nothing comes out of that.. so I reached a point to create this thread ..

Got a specific example of your outreach and/or their feedback?

Try networking through the team members or on Blind -- 99% of the time there's a referral bonus at companies and you can ask your new connection / peer to refer you, they now have some skin in the game and you can follow up with them without pissing off HM or recruiter.

I feel like I've heard of Blind in passing, but don't actually know much about it..

What's the deal?

it's anonymous as well - except you join through your company/your company is tied to your profile. heavily used by engineers to discuss their pay and equity options from FAANG. basically, it's corporate yikyak if you're familiar with yikyak. people at a shop i used to be at used it to blast managers and complain about other sellers.

Need more info, but as someone who has been in recruiting for 20+ years, my guess is they have a full pipeline or don't see a match for your skills. Recruiters, by in large, do not work for the jobseeker. Sucks, but it's the truth. We work for the hiring manager or client org because they pay the bills. If you're reaching out to a recruiter hoping they can help you find a job... not likely going to happen. Best advice is 100% continue to network with hiring managers.

Don’t reach out to recruiters. They’re non-responsive. As a personality trait. Go straight to direct manager.

Your entry level GTM recruiter schedules an interview between you and a potential new Sales Leader. What are the red flags that make you cringe when reading the resume of your potential new manager?

Rejected by recruiter for SDR position before any interview, despite having referral and track record. My inner-salesman is telling me to ignore the rejection and start reaching out to Sales Managers directly.
