Straight up, we were like 2 weeks going into the start of the pandemic (in FL so not strict), and still in office. He turns to me and starts showing me pictures of this baby monkey in a diaper. Says he wants to name him Cesar, because all of his pets are "king" names.
One week and $5,000 later, he has Cesar. We just started working remotely then too.ย 
But the problem was you could hear the monkey chirping in the background on every call.
Not sure how that panned out, as he got fired 3 months later and I left the company a bit after that, but I hope he's doing well.

So a little irrelevant BUT my former manager's best employee's father was a clown. She was his top sales rep because she was fearless. She was made fun of so much for having a clown dad when she was younger that nobody could hurt her feelings.

Your coworker may not be ruining their lives. They may actually be furthering their sales career. Think about how invincible it would make them... they will have no shame or embarrassment because they were a clown... and that takes some major guts to do.ย
