Cold audio iMessages for prospecting?

I had a first yesterday. I got an alert of a new text message on my phone, turns out it was an audio message from a number I didn't recognize. I played it and it was and SDR who had emailed me a couple of times asking for a meeting.


Have any of you done this? Does it work? It was pretty surprising, but didn't make me respond. Are audio messages the new voicemails?

Yeah, for some reason this felt different from texting. I'm also not a fan of cold-texting, but this felt more personal for some reason.

We encourage them via LinkedIn. I'm still eh on texting people, but I'm also the kind of person that has 4 different spam filters on my phone.

I've sent Vidyards cold through LinkedIn. Doing this through inMail actually has a decently high success rate for me.

Texting and audio messages like this should only be used for POCs you have already spoken with. This crosses the line in my opinion
