It's important to start making dials as soon as you get to work. My old manager always said to have 10 calls by the end of the first hour. Rip the band-aid off with enthusiasm and energy.
Unfortunately sometimes you'll accidentally call someone in the wrong timezone and they might be a little cranky. They might even tell you to stick something up your bum bum.
But on the bright side, it's only a phone call so they can't actually stick something up your bum bum. I guess the thought still counts though.
