Straight up - cold calling is so underrated. Quickest way to get shit done and new pipe sorted.ย

Agree. It's intimidating for some folks, but other times you really just find people that are still open to a cold conversation.ย
I mean at the end of the day, whatever business they are in, it's likely that some of their sales reps have to do the same thing (even if it's blue-collar or non-traditional industry, they still have to win more or new work), so it's always worth trying, and I've found that it gives you great skills: quick communication, objection handling, and speaking to value.

I plan on cold calling until I die or retire. Shit, even after I retire. I'll be cold calling those nursing homes and cruise lines or whatever geriatric needs I run into that day.

I feel like as long as you are in sales there should be some effort put into cold calling so you can always stay on top of your game.ย
I feel like people preach way too often that cold calling is dead. No, itโs not dead. Itโs dead for them because Iโm sure they suck at it.ย

Cold calling never ends! I cold called the shit out of the National passport information center yesterday until I got someoneโs direct line and extension instead of sitting on an hour long hold... putting those skills to work ๐ย
